FUNCTIONAL EVALUATION OF THE KNEE USING THE PORTO KNEE TESTING DEVICE
The PORTO knee testing device is unique, in that it helps to functionally evaluate the instability of the knee in an MRI scanner. A patient may have an ACL or PCL tear, but whether it is actually causing the instability of the knee [both anteroposterior and rotational], can be evaluated. This helps in the decision making process for surgery. This device also helps in assessing an operated knee, as to whether there is a residual or recurrent instability post-surgery.
