Pediatric Imaging

Paediatric Radiology comprises specialised imaging to diagnose disorders in paediatric patients. To successfully diagnose a paediatric condition, high-quality images are crucial. At Star Imaging, we have nationally recognised experts, backed by state-of-the-art imaging facilities including Ultrasound, CT and MRI, tailored to suit children. Since many of these imaging procedures require sedation for adequate imaging, we have a full-time anaesthetist in-house, to continuously monitor your child. We also go out of our way to create a child-friendly environment – for example, our 3T MRI with innovative ambient experience allows children to watch movies while getting their scans done and creates a feeling of more space and light. This division includes various radiologists specialised in diagnosing the entire spectrum of neurologic diseases, head and neck pathologies, various respiratory disorders, abdominal pathologies and musculoskeletal diseases in paediatric patients. We also have special expertise in performing scans for children with cochlear implants, as well as in paediatric cardiac imaging.
