And the results were disturbing \u2013 compared to normal levels, these teens had elevated levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid, or GABA, a neurotransmitter in the brain that inhibits or slows down brain signals. Increased GABA can have many side effects, including drowsiness and anxiety. The good news though?
